Can Rendell win the Triple Crown?

Five people have served as the Governor of Pennsylvania and as a United States Senator, but no one has ever won the Triple Crown of Pennsylvania politics: Governor, U.S. Senator, and Mayor of Philadelphia. Edward Rendell represents the best chance of a Pennsylvanian winning the Triple Crown, if he challenges Arlen Specter for the Senate in 2010.
