Barack Obama has shifted his energy strategy after the McCain campaign pounced on comments Obama made about properly inflating our tires.
Obama called for tapping the nation's strategic oil reserves to help drive down gasoline prices. He also suggested that he'd support limited additional offshore oil drilling after attempting to make the case of the minimal impact it would have on current gas prices.
Have we reached yet another unlikely meeting of the minds, or is it just another case of political pandering?
Hardball host and possible Pa. U.S. Senate candidate Chris Matthews returns to the Ellen Show today. Will we see more of this? >

You're being dishonest about
You're being dishonest about the timeline here. Obama's shift on his energy policy came well before McCain's camp making fun of the tire thing.
I disagree with Obama's change on drilling, but the shift came as a result of a groundswell of political pressure and polling. You're claiming the shift was due to McCain's childish attacks, which is misleading and dishonest.
