U.S. Sen. John McCain: Getty Images PhotoLooking to lay early groundwork for a bid to take a state Republicans haven’t won in 20 years, U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has hired an ex-aide to former Sen. Rick Santorum to head up campaign efforts in Pennsylvania.
The Morning Call reports that the McCain camp hired Ted Christian to run operations in the critical swing state. Christian worked on Santorum’s failed re-election in 2006, two years after working on President Bush’s re-election campaign.
Christian was in Washington for a meeting on Tuesday with national campaign operatives, The Morning Call reports.
